We would like to acknowledge Cayuga Press of Ithaca for their support of LIVE music;
they donate their expertise and state-of-the-art presses to make posters for most gigs listed
here. Getting the word out isn't easy and we really appreciate what these guys do for us.

The Aurora Fest |
Main Stage (Wells College), Aurora |
The Destination is once again hosting the festival. Last year the mainstage area was a bit weak, but there is change in the wind.
The planning committee is talking about the lawn in FRONT of Wells, several food vendors as well as other booths/vendors and lots of kid stuff. And as always, HOT Firemen/women selling COLD beer.
I'm planning on a magical evening, like the Aurora Fest usually is. We've got one hell of a lineup:
- 4:00 - Parade ends at the mainstage so get a spot early and see everything
- 5:00 - The Scapegoats (Auburn) Grateful Dead (myspace.com/thescapegoats)
- 6:30 - Pete Panek and the Blue Cats - Chicago-style blues: this is the real deal
- 7:45 - Phoenyx Rising (Ithaca) Original Rock (myspace.com/phoenyxrising)
- 9:00 - The Destination
We've got an Aurora homey, Rick Bogel, sitting in on the bone (great player) and world renowned trumpet player, Walter White, will be playing with us that night. We're also bringing in a Latin percussionist; nothing's too good for the Aurora Fest.
We DO fight the elements on this one unless it's clearly a washout. |

One of CNY's finest Blues messengers. This group was red hot a few years ago, they disbanded, and reformed last
fall, still under the direction of Duke Shanahan from Auburn. It really is one of the best blues groups in the
area, with a selection of material that breaks away from the 3-chord-jam that can leave you pretty numb after
one set. Lead singer Jeff Germain, who has worked extensively in the Syracuse blues scene, is a powerful
vocalist who adds an extra helping of Real with some very authentic harp.
Joey J is playing keyboards for as many of their gigs as scheduling will allow. |
